OWH Sketch challenge # 167

Hello!  It's been a busy Easter Season at the Huzl house.  My mother came to town for a 10 day visit, and it was a blast!  We love her so much, and showed her some of the local sites.  We went to LegoLand in Shaumburg and then to the Rainforest Cafe.  We also had to get in our shopping at the local malls...  Needless to say my crafting money went elsewhere... But it was so worth it!

How was your Easter?  I hope it was full of happiness and renewed life.

Now on the Operation Write Home's Sketch...Challenge # 167

                       167

The design was simple, but what I wanted to do didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to. Hence, a few times later I came up with this:

With the warmer weather the past few days, I cleaned off the deck and pulled out the outdoor furniture.  We have Spring Fever!!   My kids love picnics, so I know they are just around the corner.  This is where my inspiration came from.  I found this picnic paper in a stack a friend gave me.  The melon cut was cut from A Child's Year on the Cricut and the sentiment is computer generated.    It's a bit simple, but cute!

God Bless!

  1. oh how CUTE! That little parade of ants is typical of a picnic, but I don't mind them as long as they're on paper! lol I love the watermelon slice too! Just a super fun card!

  3. Oh, that's just darling! And, although summer's my least favorite season (which is why I love living in the rainy Pacific Northwest, lol), you have me SO ready for a picnic!! And I'm a huge fan of simple! And cute. :)
