Hey there, Chickie!

Hey there, chickie!  Card

Hello!

I hope you are having a great week.  Mine is very busy with the kids home for Spring Break.  We're off to take a mini vacation tomorrow, so I wanted to post this card before leaving.

I combined a few ideas for this card.  Operation Write Home's Sketch Challenge #217 and their Midweek throwdown Color Challenge (Purple and Yellow), along with Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's #203 Bye, Bye, Birdie and Exploring Cricut's Crafter's Choice - 1 Design Paper, 1 Cardstock challenge.

The sketch:

My card:

The chick cut is from Create A Critter Cricut cartridge, and the faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps.
The Design paper is from Michael's and the rest of the supplies are from my stash.

I hope you have a wonderful week and are looking forward to some Spring weather. We, unfortunately, can't get above 30 degrees.

God Bless,

Diane

  1. Hi, Diane.

First of all, this little card is adorable! Love those cute little chicks... and the palette and papers are perfect for a spring-y card. :)

A magnetic platform takes the place of the main platform in a machine like a Big Shot. I ordered mine from Stampin' Up! The platform looks like the regular one, except for a top paper-covered surface stating that this is not a cutting mat. But, what the mat does is hold a magnetic die in place so it doesn't move around when it goes through the cutting/embossing machine.

You can get them at craft stores. Think they run about $40.... bit there are always coupons. And, if you have access to a 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalog -- or the online version, you can see it on page 184.

Hope this helps. Just let me know if you'd like more info.
